grigia
2011
Grigia is “a very long-necked jar with a narrow mouth”; its shape takes inspiration from Aesop’s tale The Fox and the Stork, which was my favourite story as a child.
The water carafe and four glasses are unique and individually hand-blown using the Incalmo method; a traditional glass-making technique consisting of separate glass elements fused together to create one piece.
Hand-blown borosilicate glass; made in collaboration with Jochen Holz
